Campgrounds

Summary

Campgrounds refer to the San Elijo State Campgrounds or also known as 80's and 85's depending on which stairs one takes to go down to the beach. The break consists of a number of different waves. There are a few point breaks and a lot of little peaks with short, fast rides. The bottom is made up of rock and sand so beware. Can handle size if the wind is good. (Personally I have been out with double overhead surf) Handles all tides, but best with mid.

Access

Park on west or east side of 101 and cross the over to the campground entrance. The stairs are just left of the convenient store as you enter. Important note: you will probably be running across the highway which is dangerous. You can use the cross walk but it is out of the way.
