Title

Apalachicola

Species

crassostrea virginica

Description

It is believed that the Apalachicola oyster was used to create the original recipe for Oysters Rockefeller, a rich dish that has spinach and cream in it (and of course oyster). This oyster is juicy and sweet, and has a slight coppery/metallic flavor. Cultivated in the Apalachicola Bay of Florida.
