Locally-produced ceramic pot filters have been pioneered by a Nicaragua-based NGO called Potters for Peace, and have been commercially distributed by a number of NGOs in Latin America and Asia. In Cambodia, it is estimated that one out of 20 homes has used a ceramic pot filter sold by International Development Enterprises (IDE), Resource Development International (RDI), and the Cambodian Red Cross.
