Title
Non-Fatal Shark Attack, Tresoglavic
DescriptionLuke Tresoglavic age 22 was attacked by a wobbegong on a reef off of Caves Beach, south of Newcastle on February 11th, 2004. He was snorkeling when the 60 centimeter shark attached. The shark attached itself to Luke’s leg and wouldn’t let go. Luke decided to get help so he swam in while the shark was attached to his leg and got into shore, into his car, and then drove to the surf club where lifeguards treated him. They flushed out the gills of the shark with water to loosen its grip and then pulled his jaw loose. Luke then drove himself to the hospital for treatment.
