Kenneth R. Newingham, 43, of 45 Economy Village is charged with attempted child luring. Ambridge police Sgt. Rick Bufalini said an investigation continues as to whether additional charges will be filed.

Bufalini said that around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers patrolling Economy Village saw Newingham outside and bleeding from the face. In talking to neighbors, Bufalini said, officers learned Newingham was beaten after he was accused of trying to entice a 10-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl, who live nearby, into his home.
