A Purdue student was arrested Aug. 23 on suspicion of using the university’s computer network to download child pornography.

Andrew J. Naughton, 20, a sophomore majoring in education from DeMotte faces two preliminary charges of child exploitation and a charge of possessing child pornography. He was taken to Tippecanoe County Jail where he was being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond, said Purdue police Lt. Fred Davis.
