Wayne County Sheriff Deputies made one arrest this afternoon on the last day of a sweep of parolees.

Sheriff Warren Evans has conducted three days of spot checks of about 200 registered sex offenders who are living in school zones in Detroit. Deputies made unannounced visit to ensure the Detroit offenders were complying with terms of their parole.

Evans said the man had adult pornography DVDs in his possession, a violation of parole for first-degree criminal sexual conduct. The sex incident that landed the man in prison occurred in 1993, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections.
