Vernon Kyle Wilson, 21, was sentenced to life in prison Friday, with no chance of parole for 13 years, for the murder of a College of New Caledonia nursing student on Jan. 1, 2006.

Wilson – who is from Kispiox – confessed to strangling Candace Marie Kalmokoff, 20, and then having sex with her dead body after a night of heavy drinking and marijuana use.
