Title
Lost and found: Porn on his handheld
DescriptionA lost personal digital assistant has led to 10 felony counts against a 37-year-old Marshfield man. Randy J. Cash was working in Wausau when he lost his handheld device, Wood County Investigator Dean Berres said. A woman found the device and, after seeing the images on it, called the Wausau Police Department. The device was inside a wallet that contained several memory discs and Cash’s name, Berres said. Cash was on probation for a domestic abuse case in Marathon County. Wausau police contacted the state Department of Corrections, which contacted the Wood County Sheriff’s Department. The Department of Corrections, with help from the Marshfield Police Department, seized Cash’s computer from his Marshfield home. Berres did a forensic examination of the system and found almost 500 images of child pornography on the computer, handheld device and discs, Berres said.
