What a wonderful use of the site! In my opinion this list really captures the spirit of site and it does so in a natural and fun way. As well, it demonstrates the beauty of knowledge sharing and community collaboration. Keep it up!
I had the pleasure of going to straight to the source several months ago: http://www.deschutesbrewery.com/Splash/default.aspx. Some friends of ours local to Bend took us there. I ordered the first round - 4 lovely pints of beer - and my warped LA cost of living expenses kicked in when the bartender said $12". My first response was "No I'm paying for ALL of them" before realizing that it was in fact the price for all four. Ever since, I have lost my desire to go out as much here in LA and pay $4+ for a glass of mass produced disappointment.
From the point of view in the picture, it sure looks like they could put in quite a sizable array of solar panels with those empty spaces. I recently read an article about the deleterious health effects for many who live in the areas surrounding the ports and refineries in the Wilmington and San Pedro areas. Wish I could remember the source of the article...
Not "just useful" - I believe that for most ventures focusing on user generated content, an API is a fundamental element of success. That said, it requires a fair amount of investment and planning to execute properly. Bandwidth use can increase dramatically and computational resources can be taxed when 3rd parties start leveraging the platform in new ways. You also have to consider security, fair use, and preserving people's right to protect their original works. Hopefully we'll see some of the basic list management operations exposed soon!
Luftyluft: i *love* this list. Who are you, and what inspired you to do this? So great. Send me an email at listphile -at- gmail -dot- com if you would like to introduce yourself. If you feel like remaining anonymous, that's cool too. A dude has the right to remain anonymous. :)
Ahem...thanks. Need to put in a notification system such that if I create an entry on someone else's list, I can opt in to be notified if a) someone edits it, and b) makes a comment.

p.s. I love this list/gallery. I keep on adding to it because I want to see it huge and full of thumbs, then blog about it...We currently, in thumb view, limit thumbs to 64 per page, but i'm thinking of changing that to reflect list settings (25, 50, 100).
hey luftyluft. fyi, we fixed the field position bug in this list that was preventing you from moving the bacon number field up. i moved it to just below the "Actor" field, hope that was ok with you.
